Rider Self Evaluation
SKILL LEVEL 1 – NEWBIE
You may not be a regular bike rider but you can ride a bike. You’ve probably never ridden a mountain bike before or you have very limited experience with off-road trail riding.
SKILL LEVEL 2 – INTERMEDIATE
You’ve ridden off road and survived. You are happy riding wide dirt trails like fire trails. You can ride mellow single track as long as its not steep or tight.
Alternatively you may not have ridden off road but you are a regular rider, confident on a bike with good bike handling skills.
SKILL LEVEL 3 – ADVANCED
You’re happiest riding single-track and you can handle tight trees, mud, loose rocks, roots, sand and small drops and you don’t mind if it gets a bit steep.
If you’re not sure please contact us. I don’t want any crashes, scares or bored riders.
FITNESS LEVEL 1 – EASY RIDING
You can ride a gently undulating track for 30 minutes. If your fitness isn’t up to this level give us a call and we can work out a program to get you up to speed.
FITNESS LEVEL 2 – CRUISING
You can ride for an hour as long as there aren’t any tough climbs.
FITNESS LEVEL 3 – CLIMBING
You can ride for 2 hours or more and are happy to climb one or two long or steep hills
If you’re not sure please call me. It’s no fun if you find yourself on a ride that is too hard. If you’re fitness is not where you want it to be we have articles on our blog which may help or contact us.
